Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) has secured the final green light for its Dingo Range Gold Project, located 95km northeast of Leinster in Western Australia’s Goldfields.
Granted by the state Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, the works approval is the last regulatory hurdle before project development can begin.
The approval covers the project’s proposed processing plant, power station, tailings storage facility, and other ancillary infrastructure required for gold production.
The company, which will provide full funding for the project, has already completed and commissioned the employee accommodation campsite.
Drilling programs will continue throughout 2026 to support mineral resource updates. Activity will focus on open-pit extensions, underground development potential, and supporting the maiden ore reserve.
The company has also approved the purchase of two 8,000kW Metso semi-autogenous grinding mills, along with a crushing circuit for $30 million.
One of the mills will be used at Dingo Range, and the other at the fully-owned Memot Gold Project in Cambodia. The crushing circuit will be installed at Dingo Grange.
“The commitment to purchase long-lead capital equipment is the second key construction and infrastructure milestone at Dingo Range following the completion of the camp,” Managing Director Morgan Hart says.
“Securing this long lead capital equipment on a very competitive delivery schedule assists with de-risking the development timeline for both projects and is an important step in the company’s growth trajectory to achieve its strategic objective of becoming a multi-mine 300K–400Kozs gold producer across two continents.”
The company will now spend the next 12 to 13 months delivering the mills. This timeframe will also influence the timing of the first gold production.
Emerald Resources is a gold developer and explorer with assets primarily in Western Australia and Southeast Asia.
