Eclipse Metals (ASX:EPM) has engaged with US strategic advisory and government affairs firm BGR Group to align the company with potential funding and partnership frameworks.
The two parties will begin coordinating engagement efforts to match relevant US agencies and congressional committees requirements ahead of drilling, resource expansion, and development planning for the Ivigtût–Grønnedal Project area in Greenland.
BGR will be responsible for engaging the US Congress, federal agencies, and defence-related agencies on behalf of Eclipse to secure funding and commercial partnerships relating to the rare earth supply chain.
This will be supported by ongoing European advisory work in order to position Ivigtût and Grønnedal as “tier one assets”.
Eclipse Executive Chairman Carl Popal says appointing BGR will help the company strengthen geopolitical positioning in relation to its Greenland assets.
“Their experience operating at the highest levels of US policymaking will be highly valuable as Eclipse advances its goal of establishing Ivigtût–Grønnedal as a premier Western source of critical rare earth elements,” Popal says.
“With simultaneous progress across the US and European spheres, Eclipse is now better positioned than ever to translate our world-class geological foundations into strategic partnerships, government support, and long term value for our shareholders.”
Eclipse US Strategic Advisor Lloyd Green, who will work closely with BGR to engage American parties, says Greenland is emerging as one of the “most important” opportunities for Western nations.
“Eclipse’s commitment to responsible development, combined with the high grade potential of both Ivigtût and Grønnedal, positions the company squarely within US strategic materials priorities,” Green says.
Eclipse Metals is an Australian mineral explorer with a focus on discovering and developing rare earth deposits in Greenland.
