Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) has identified two new parallel gold trends after receiving results from its reverse circulation drilling program at the Paris Gold Project in Western Australia.
Assay results have confirmed a new shallow mineralised lode intersected 80m southeast of Paris, which gently dips and remains open to the south.
Some of the results include 2m @ 7.39 grams per tonne gold from 88m and 1m @ 14.8g/t gold from 94m.
Meanwhile, a second shallow lode, 100m northwest of Paris, is dipping and remains open to the west.
Managing Director Cristian Moreno says the identification of two lodes highlights the potential for resource growth in the Paris Project’s area.
“These results give us a view that the southeast and northwest lodes share similar mineralogical characteristics to the high-grade lode at Paris, suggesting that key high-grade host units remain underexplored,” Moreno says.
“The intersection of significant gold grades in multiple holes is highly encouraging and further supports our commitment to unlocking the full potential of this system.”
Torque has engaged industry consultants to undertake structural and geophysical reviews of drilling and geophysical data. This analysis aims to develop a structural model for Paris, incorporating recent drilling, and to provide recommendations on geophysical techniques for further exploration.
Meanwhile, Torque’s merger with Aston Minerals (ASX:ASO) is currently underway. Torque is awaiting for the transaction to be completed before outlining any further exploration plans.
Torque Metals is a mineral explorer focused on discoveries within its Penzance Exploration Camp which covers 1,200km2 and includes 14 mining licences, three prospective licences, and 50 exploration licences.
