Torque Metals revs up for more drilling at Paris Gold Project in WA

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) announces that diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling has resumed at its wholly owned Paris Gold Project, located southeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The company plans to execute 6,500m of drilling over its ‘high-grade’ gold prospects to target ‘significant’ gold anomalies obtained from historical drilling results, machine learning algorithms, and geological models.

An ongoing 1,500m of diamond drilling has begun at the ‘high-grade’ gold structure within the Paris Gold Camp. Torque reports prior drilling results at the Paris gold camp include hole 22PRC040 with 27m @ 10.7g/t Au from 177m, including 6m @ 32.45g/t Au from 183m, and 12m @ 19.7g/t Au from 177m; and 22PRC038 with 27m @ 8.16g/t Au from 156m, including 6m @ 22g/t Au from 159m.

Once diamond drilling is complete, the company will undertake a 43-hole RC drilling campaign up to 5,000m at the Paris, HHH, and Observation prospects in the Paris Gold Camp. This campaign aims to complete infill and extensional drilling, providing further information on the continuity and distribution of gold mineralisation.

Commenting on the re-commencement of the drilling, Torque Metals Managing Director, Cristian Moreno, says: “This drilling campaign will aim to infill and further extend the high-grade gold structure at the Paris prospect, which to date, has been extended from 250m to 1,000m in strike in just the past year.

Additionally, drilling will also extend shallower mineralisation at HHH and Observation prospects. These prospects have significant historical intercepts, including 9m @ 11.6g/t Au from 66m, 6m @ 8.45g/t Au from 51m, and 4m @ 15.86g/t Au from 57m.

“Torque is well-funded and continues to keep pushing activities from one of Western Australia’s most promising projects in the heart of Western Australia’s gold fields”

Torque is well-funded and continues to keep pushing activities from one of Western Australia’s most promising projects in the heart of Western Australia’s gold fields.”

The company reports the combined results of both drilling campaigns will provide ‘valuable’ insights into the best areas for resource expansion and inform future development plans at the Paris Gold Project.

Torque Metals is a mineral exploration company with a diverse portfolio of ‘high-grade’ gold deposits, located in Western Australia. The company’s flagship Paris Gold Project remains vastly underexplored, with past drilling restricted to the top 50m. The project is located 12km southeast of the St Ives gold complex.
