Torque Metals (ASX: TOR) has reported a series of ‘high-grade’ gold hits following Phase 3 RC drilling at its 100%-owned Paris Project in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
The results have confirmed a ‘broad’ mineralised zone that covers a strike length of at least 120m, with mineralisation extending to the north-west, south-east and at depth.
Key intercepts include:
- Hole 22PRC038: 27m @ 8.2g/t Au from 156m, incl.
- 6m @ 22.0g/t Au from 159m, and
- 3m @ 14.0g/t Au from 171m
- Hole 22PRC036: 6m @ 4.0g/t Au from 159m, within a broader zone of 18m @ 2.0g/t Au from 156m
The company also notes that results from the ‘Observation Prospect’ demonstrate the potential to increase the mineralised structure with results including:
- Hole 220RC45: 3m @ 3.1g/t Au from 126m within 6m @ 2.0g/t Au from 123m
Addressing the results, Torque Metals Executive Chairman Ian Finch said: “As I have said before; what a start this company has had. Less than a year since listing on ASX and we continue to exceed our best expectations. 27m @ 8.2g/t Au is an exceptional interval that any corporation would love to have. But we won’t rest there. We now clearly see much more potential ahead of us.
“27m @ 8.2g/t Au is an exceptional interval that any corporation would love to have”
The size of this wide, high-grade body currently covers a strike length of ~120m, however, we have historical drillhole data that supports the strong possibility that this wonderful gold zone may extend, at least, to 280m to the North West!
There’s also plenty of work elsewhere. We’re getting ready to launch our ground geophysical survey in the search for Cassini and Lanfranchi look-a-like nickel deposits as well as preparing the next gold RC drilling campaign.”
The company also notes that these results reinforce the company’s confidence in the geological model of the deposit, with similar results expected as it continues with further drilling operations along the Paris Gold Corridor.
In addition, the results indicate and reinforce the potential for growth in gold resources below and adjacent to the existing pit.

The Paris Gold Project is located within the Parker/Kambalda Domains of the Yilgarn Gold Field in Western Australia, covering a total land area of 68km².
The project and associated tenements are 100%-owned by Torque Metals, and currently boast a JORC-compliant Indicated Mineral Resource Estimate of 314,000t @ 3.24g/t Au for 32,700 ounces of contained gold.
With Phase 3 drilling at Paris now complete, the company reports that it will move forward with further westbound RC follow-up drilling into the Paris prospect, with a view to rapidly increase the gold inventory at the project.
The company also reports that deeper RC drilling will commence at Observation to investigate depth potential of the previously-identified gold discovery, with both campaigns likely to commence in early July.
