Exploration at Tivan's Sandover Fluorite Project in the Northern Territory

Tivan returns ‘high-grade’ fluorite results from Sandover

Tivan (ASX:TVN) reports broad intersections of ‘high-grade’ fluorite mineralisation from stage two drilling at the Sandover Fluorite Project in the Northern Territory.

The company completed 58 reverse circulation holes for 5,884m across seven fluorite reefs at the project, located 230km north‑east of Alice Springs.

All holes intersected fluorite mineralisation, with results exceeding expectations and highlighting potential for expansion of the mineralised footprint.

Significant intercepts include 18m at 25.1% calcium fluoride (CaF2) from 30m, including 7m @ 54.9% CaF2 from 36m; and 17m @ 19.9% CaF2 from 92m, including 6m @ 45.9% CaF2 from 93m.

Moreover, the program returned a ‘highest‑grade’ intersection of 3m @ 74.3% CaF2 from 28m.

Executive Chairman Grant Wilson says the results demonstrate the project’s potential for ‘long‑term security of supply’.

“Since the start of Tivan, our Board has been focused on the acquisition and development of long-duration assets that can support our corporate trajectory and the intrinsic value of our balance sheet,” Wilson says.

“We acquired the Sandover Fluorite Project for a million dollars in November 2024, when there was no understanding of its significance. Through diligent efforts over the past two years, and our strong relationships in Central Australia, we have today demonstrated its world-class potential.”

The drilling identified Reefs A, C, and E as the three priority vein systems for future resource‑focused drilling.

Broad intercepts were recorded across three reefs comprising approximately 2.25km of outcrop, with mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth.

Tivan intends to develop an exploration target for the project alongside planning for stage three drilling to support potential future definition of a maiden mineral resource estimate. The Australian Government added fluorine to Australia’s Critical Minerals List in December 2023.

The company is also progressing development planning for the Speewah Fluorite Project in Western Australia through a joint venture with Sumitomo (TYO:8053).

Tivan is an Australian critical minerals company advancing a portfolio of fluorite, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, titanium, and iron projects across Australia, alongside copper-gold assets in Timor-Leste.
