Southern Cross Gold (ASX:SXG) has flagged the highest grades to date up to 576 grams per tonne gold at the Apollo Deep prospect, as part of its wholly owned Sunday Creek Project in Victoria, Australia.
The $235.57 million market capitalisation company says results, generated from single drillhole SDDSC108A, demonstrate 3 new vein sets which extend mineralisation a further 150m east at Sunday Creek and 150m deeper at Apollo.
Managing Director Michael Hudson says: “Drillhole SDDSC108A delivers on multiple levels, increasing both volume and grade at Sunday Creek in multiple dimensions. The hole demonstrates the system at Sunday Creek continues to the east and to depth, and that it is predictable and targetable.
It continues to validate the opportunity to find even higher grades at Apollo Deep, as we have found at Rising Sun 400m to the west. This high-grade intercept is interpreted to be located 150m down-dip from the previously highest-grade vein set drilled at Apollo in SDDSC066 (1m @ 224g/t AuEq).
This demonstrates the exciting opportunity to further define coherent and extremely high-grade bodies at Sunday Creek with closer spaced drilling.”
