Southern Cross Gold Sunday Creek Gold Antimony Project in Victoria

Southern Cross Gold links Christina to Golden Dyke

Southern Cross Gold (ASX:SX2) has reported drilling results from five holes at its Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria.

The westernmost hole intersected 481m of near-continuous mineralisation linking the Christina and Golden Dyke prospects.

Hole SDDSC235 returned 481m @ 0.92 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq) from 282.1m, remaining within prospective dyke and altered sediment for a cumulative 800m of its 1,405.7m length.

The hole delivered seven individual assays above 50g/t gold (Au), including one at 496g/t Au.

Best results include 8.3m @ 4.8g/t AuEq from 708.7m, and a ‘high-grade’ interval of 0.8m @ 141g/t AuEq from 568.9m.

All three definition holes from the new western pad intersected gold within 15m to 60m of surface, defining up to three previously unidentified shallow vein sets.

CEO Michael Hudson says SDDSC235 is ‘one of the most important holes’ drilled at Sunday Creek.

“The westernmost hole reported from Christina, it stayed in near-continuous mineralisation for 481m at 0.9g/t gold (uncut), delivered individual assays up to 496g/t gold below the entire Christina prospect,” Hudson notes.

“This hole shows Christina can deliver at the same scale and grade as Golden Dyke and Rising Sun, and it does so in ground we have only just begun to test.”

Across the five holes, eight individual gold assays exceeded 50g/t and four antimony (Sb) assays exceeded 10%, up to 39.5% Sb over 0.1m from 91.79m in SDDSC235.

The results lift the project total to 93 composite intersections exceeding 100g/t Au, from 88 previously.

Southern Cross Gold has completed 273 drill holes for 130.6km at Sunday Creek since late 2020, with 68 holes pending results.

The company operates eleven drill rigs as part of its 200,000m program continuing through to the March 2027 quarter.
