Solis Minerals (ASX:SLM) has completed three diamond drill holes to planned depths of about 200m each at its Mandacaru Lithium Project in Brazil, with drilling underway on a fourth hole.
CEO Mitch Thomas says the company is ‘pleased’ with the progress of drilling at Mandacaru.
“Encouragingly, pegmatites mapped at surface have been intersected below surface, providing early support for our geological model,” Thomas says.
The Mandacaru program is testing a lithium-caesium-tantalum pegmatite corridor defined through mapping, sampling, and auger drilling, with pegmatites intersected approximately 30–40m below surface.

Solis says drilling has moved to a second fence (300m northwest) to evaluate strike continuity, while laboratory assays remain pending.
Drilling contract secured for Cinto
Meanwhile, in Peru, Solis has executed a drilling contract for its Cinto Copper Project, targeting high-priority copper porphyry anomalies with an initial five-hole, 2,500m diamond drilling program commencing this month.
“Drilling at Cinto in parallel to Mandacaru is also a very exciting development for the company,” Thomas says, noting that information on drilling progress will be provided as the program advances.

Traversed by the Incapuquio Fault System, the Cinto Project comprises seven tenements covering 3,200 hectares in the southern Peruvian copper belt.
The project is situated within Toquepala Group volcanic and volcano-sedimentary rocks, which are coeval with the area’s Late Cretaceous-Early Palaeogene intrusives that host the Toquepala porphyry deposit.
Solis Minerals is an Australian explorer focused on battery metals in South America, with assets in Brazil and Peru.
