PC Gold (ASX:PC2) has returned thick, stacked gold intercepts from diamond drilling at its 100%-owned Spring Hill Gold Project in the Northern Territory.
The results were highly consistent, with five of the eight holes reporting a single intercept of about 70 gram-metres or more.
Hole SDH26-018 intersected three stacked mineralised zones across 70.8m from 241.2m. This includes 33m @ 2.23 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 252m, and 2m @ 19.46g/t Au from 305m.
Hole SDH26-014 returned 28m @ 2.52g/t Au from 258m. Meanwhile, SDH26-015 returned 16m @ 4.33g/t Au from 197m and 23m @ 1.12g/t Au from 89m.
Completed assays for SDH26-021 have doubled the Link zone intercept to 21.19m @ 3.39g/t Au from 306.21m, including 7.34m @ 6.82g/t Au. This is an increase from the 10.8m @ 3.64g/t Au previously reported.
The results confirm Spring Hill is a coarse gold system, where sample size can influence reported grades.
Photon assay test work with Chrysos indicated that single 500g jars could underestimate gold grades. The company now assays two 500g jars per sample interval, although some intervals in the latest results were tested using the previous single-jar method.
The results will feed into an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) targeted for December 2026. The project currently hosts a 1.51-million-ounce resource.
Executive Chairman and CEO Ashley Pattison says the consistency of the results underpins growth.
“Five of the eight holes reported today […] have each returned a single intercept of around 70 gram-metres or more,” Pattison notes.
“That consistency of width and grade across the Hong Kong and Link zones is exactly what underpins resource growth.”
Recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling extended the Macau Extended zone to 950m of strike north of the MRE boundary and identified the ‘high-grade’ North Link zone, further expanding mineralisation beyond the current resource.
Assays for 14 diamond holes and 10 RC holes remain pending while drilling continues. In parallel, the company is advancing a Prefeasibility Study that will incorporate these results.
