Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has intersected up to 1,933 grams per tonne silver equivalent from the first infill drillholes at the Orient West deposit, part of the broader Orient Silver-Indium Project in North Queensland.
The results have been received from the initial seven reverse circulation holes drilled, as part of the planned 42-hole infill program targeting the deposit’s core area where there are multiple intersecting vein systems with associated low-grade stockwork mineralisation.
Drillhole ORR068 intersected 9m @ 391.9g/t silver equivalent, including 1m @ 1,933g/t silver equivalent.
Some of the other highlighted results were 7m @ 203.6g/t silver equivalent, including 3m @ 403.7g/t silver equivalent, and 3m @ 403.6g/t silver equivalent, including 1m @ 1,118.7g/t silver equivalent.
Managing Director Donald Garner says multiple holes delivered material intersections and it was particularly good to see the continuity of the mineralisation across multiple areas which confirm the potential for underground mining.
“It is also pleasing to see both Orient West and Orient East consistently delivering high-grade mineralisation,” Garner says.
“Orient West and East are greater than 2km apart demonstrating the size and scale of the Orient system and its potential to host a material silver-lead-zinc-indium deposit.
“As we advance forward in 2025, with the completion of the Orient East exploration target in early February and the restart of drilling March, we believe the pathway we are on to delivering Australia’s largest silver-lead-zinc-indium deposit will become clearer.”
Once drilling is completed at Orient West, Iltani intends to conduct infill, reverse circulation, and diamond drilling across both deposits.
A diamond drilling program will be carried out to target the high-grade mineralisation at depth, as well as generate structural information and samples for metallurgical testwork to support a resource estimate.
The company will also drill test the northeast and southwest extents of the Orient West and East systems. This program is anticipated to begin in March 2025.
Iltani Resources is a base metals and critical mineral explorer focused on building a portfolio of advanced projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
