Orient West delivers again for Iltani

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has received more drilling results delivering grades up to 651.8 grams per tonne silver-equivalent from the Orient West deposit in North Queensland.

An ongoing infill drilling program is being conducted within the Orient Silver-Indium Project, which has continued to return broad, “high-grade” results.

Some of the latest highlights include 7m @ 227.6g/t silver-equivalent from 140m including 2m @ 651.8g/t silver-equivalent from 143m downhole at hole ORR073.

Managing Director Donald Garner says reverse circulation and diamond drilling is continuing, with results expected to be released throughout May and June.

“We continue to be excited by what we see, with results validating our belief that Orient is Australia’s largest and highest grade known silver-indium deposit,” Garner says.

Iltani is completing simultaneous reverse circulation and diamond infill drilling programs at Orient, with results used to model and estimate the initial JORC resources for Orient West and East – expected Q3 2025.

The resource infill drilling program is targeting the core area and is designed to deliver an initial JORC-compliant inferred resource estimate.

The silver market spiked earlier this week and was a top performer in 2024, at one point beating gold’s advance with a rally.

Consensus appears to be that 2025 will be even better for the metal that is now more than just a store of wealth, but also in rising demand for its usefulness in clean energy applications.

The price of silver is currently about US$33 ($51.26), a range that seems to be a magnet for its price.

Iltani Resources is a base metals and critical mineral explorer focused on its portfolio of advanced projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
