Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) reports final assay results from its 21,985m reverse circulation drilling program at the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company completed 25 new holes for 4,508m across the Crusader and Clement prospects, identifying a new ‘high-grade’ mineralised structure immediately east of the main Crusader domain.
Significant intercepts include 3m @ 18.75 grams per tonne gold (Au) within 13m @ 4.52g/t Au from 124m and 3m @ 8.09g/t Au, including 1m @ 15.44g/t Au within 10m @ 2.73g/t Au from 194m.
The new structure sits between the Crusader-Templar deposit and Clement prospect, closing the gap between them and confirming they form a single, interconnected mineralised system.
Based on this continuity, Nexus will report Clement as part of the Crusader-Templar deposit going forward.
Additional results include 2m @ 7.4g/t Au within 18m @ 1.11g/t Au from 192m and 5m @ 3.56g/t Au, including 1m @ 8.51g/t Au within 20m @ 1.26g/t Au from 95m.
Managing Director Andy Tudor says the results confirm a larger, interconnected mineralised system across the project.
“This final tranche of results closes out an incredibly successful drilling program at Wallbrook. Our Crusader drill holes have confirmed a new, high-grade mineralised structure immediately east of the main Crusader domain,” Tudor says.
“Importantly, this structure sits between our Crusader-Templar Deposit and the Clement Prospect, closing the gap between them.”
The Crusader-Templar deposit currently hosts a combined mineral resource estimate (MRE) of approximately 5.6 million tonnes at 1.7g/t gold for 304,000 ounces.
Nexus Minerals has now reported assay results for all 196 holes totalling 21,985m from its Wallbrook drilling campaign. An updated multi-prospect Wallbrook MRE is positioned for completion before the end of the September quarter.
