Moho Resources (ASX:MOH) has completed soil sampling at its Weld Range North Project in Western Australia, while a simultaneous strategic review of the company’s full suite of assets remains ongoing.
The 298 samples collected across the entirety of Weld Range North were designed to follow up on an orientation soil sampling survey last year, which returned elevated nickel assays from a key anomaly. The latest program sought to further delineate the extent of that anomaly along with other areas of the project.
Moho says it is targeting copper-nickel sulphide and gold mineralisation, with assays to be received in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Plans are also underway for a detailed drone magnetic survey and potentially a gravity survey. Once a heritage survey has been completed, Moho says a preliminary aircore drilling program will be developed along with a program of works.
In addition to the work at Weld Range North, Moho is also evaluating the mineral potential at its Black Swan South Project, which has seen no exploration for gold and only limited exploration for nickel over the last 30 years.
This work is expected to include a comprehensive desktop study, followed by a soil sampling program to provide on-ground assessments.
Both streams of work fall under a broader review of Moho’s project portfolio, which the company says could ultimately include new acquisitions.
The review was first mentioned in Moho’s quarterly report for June, and follows the resignation of Managing Director Ralph Winter at the end of that month.
Moho had just over $1 million in cash and cash equivalent at the end of the June quarter.
