Moho Resources (ASX:MOH) has executed a heritage agreement with the Palyku-Jartayi Aboriginal Corporation, gaining access to approximately 80% of its 442km² Bush Chook Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company says the agreement represents a “milestone” toward the grant of the remaining Bush Chook licences in the Mosquito Creek Basin, a proven mining district surrounding several operating and developing gold mines and processing facilities.
Heritage surveys are being planned to expedite drilling at Emu and Bright Tank, two ‘high-priority’ targets showing surface gold mineralisation.
Chairman Peter Christie says the agreement is a “major milestone” for Moho.
“The agreement allows us to rapidly advance heritage surveys over priority drill targets while commencing regional exploration across one of the largest and least explored land positions in the Mosquito Creek Basin,” Christie says.
Located 2km from the Barton Gold Mine, the Emu prospect comprises an outcropping gossanous quartz vein with a strike length exceeding 200m and 20m wide. Rock chip sampling of a 100m section shows consistent gold mineralisation at surface, averaging 5.90 grams per tonne gold with samples up to 13.40g/t gold.
At Bright Tank, two zones of outcropping gold mineralisation occur within a broader 600m trend. The Southwest Zone features gossanous quartz stockwork veins with samples up to 4.12g/t gold, while the Northeastern Zone comprises quartz veins with rock chip assays up to 12.70g/t gold.
Reverse circulation drilling has been completed at the Rocky Ridge and Gage Road prospects, with the drill rig now operating at the CBco target.
Assay results from the completed drilling are expected in July.
The company plans to follow up numerous historic soil, rock chip, and HyMap alteration mineral mapping anomalies with detailed soil sampling and mapping to generate the next phase of drill targets.
Moho Resources (ASX:MOH) is a natural resources company focused on advancing early-stage gold and other metals projects in Western Australia.
