Metal Hawk (ASX:MHK) is planning to conduct an extensive maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Leinster South Project in Western Australia, once a heritage survey is completed.
The company recently signed an agreement with the Watarra Aboriginal Corporation, which scheduled for the survey to begin early next year.
This news comes after Metal Hawk, which has a market capitalisation of $18.62 million, received rock chip assays that confirm new gold discoveries within the project.
Assay results recorded up to 62 grams per tonne gold from the first batch of rock chip assays at the Thylacine prospect, which is located 1.5km east-southeast from Siberian Tiger.

Metal Hawk reports several rock chip samples at Thylacine returned assays including 62.3g/t gold, 30.4g/t gold, and 27.3g/t gold.
At the Tysons prospect, follow-up sampling results returned gold in numerous samples of quartz veining, including 84g/t gold, 21.5g/t gold, and 10.9g/t gold.
Managing Director Will Belbin says rock chips from Siberian Tiger, as well as the results from Thylacine and Tysons suggest that the company is on the verge of multiple gold discoveries at Leinster South.
“It is incredible that there has not been any previous gold exploration, sampling or drilling at any of these prospects,” Belbin says.
“This is a huge opportunity for Metal Hawk and I believe there is potential for a new high-grade gold camp at Leinster South.”
Metal Hawk notes results from rock chip sampling carried out at the Bengal Tiger prospect are expected within three to four weeks.
Additional samples from Thylacine, the southern extension of Siberian Tiger, infill at Tysons and other regional locations are also expected to be returned around the same time.
Metal Hawk is a Western Australian mineral explorer focused on discovering gold and base metals. The Leinster South Project sits within the Western Australian Goldfields region and covers 200km2.
