Metal Hawk dives into Fraser South drilling

Metal Hawk (ASX:MHK) is beginning a 50-hole aircore drilling program at its Fraser South Project in Western Australia.

The $9.84 million market capitalisation company says the stage two program is targeting new zones of rare earth element (REE) mineralisation and will be following up on ‘high-grade’ results returned from its maiden aircore program in the area.

Drilling will also be testing for early-stage indicators of nickel-copper-platinum group element (Ni-Cu-PGE) mineralisation along the interpreted southern structural extension of the western margin of the Albany-Fraser belt.

Commenting on exploration activities, Metal Hawk Managing Director Will Belbin says: “Following the excellent high-grade REE results from our maiden drilling campaign at Fraser South, we are very excited to commence the stage two drilling program.

“we look forward to further exploring the magnetic high and western margin of the belt for prospective nickel-bearing mafic and ultramafic rocks”

We will be drilling some closer-spaced holes at Bozwood, and we’ll be testing new target areas for additional zones of REE mineralisation. Additionally, we look forward to further exploring the magnetic high and western margin of the belt for prospective nickel-bearing mafic and ultramafic rocks.”

Metal Hawk is a Western Australian exploration company focused on the early-stage discovery of critical minerals. The company has a number of assets in the Eastern Goldfields and the Albany Fraser regions.

As of 30 June 2023, the company had $933,000 cash at hand, according to its latest quarterly report. Subsequent to the end of June, Metal Hawk completed a share placement, raising $1.23 million before costs.
