Marmota engages titanium expert for Muckanippie’s development

Marmota (ASX:MEU) has engaged titanium and mineral sands expert Richard Stockwell, principal geologist for Placer Consulting, to assist in developing the titanium discovery at the Muckanippie Project in South Australia.

Stockwell will assist the group to ensure the results collected observe industry reporting guidelines.

Additional oversight in planning and design including follow-up drilling programs on the discovery and neighbouring tenements are part of Mr Stockwell’s remit.

Stockwell will continue to lead geo-metallurgical characterisation, resource estimation, and resource development at Muckanippie.

“The high heavy mineral grade and broad intercept widths place the Marmota Muckanippie titanium mineral sands project amongst the most significant new discoveries globally,” Stockwell says.

Marmota says Stockwell is a specialist detrital minerals geologist with demonstrated success in generative exploration, resource development, due diligence, and feasibility studies. He is also a fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists with 25 years of relevant industry experience.

Marmota is a South Australian mining company focused on gold, titanium, and uranium.
