Many Peaks with gold mineralisation at Ferké

Many Peaks (ASX:MPK) has confirmed extended mineralisation to a gold corridor within its Ferké Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire following a recent aircore drilling program covering a 9km strike.

The program returned 15m @ 0.72 grams per tonne gold from 9m including 3m @ 2.3g/t gold from drillhole FNAC158 and 15m @ 0.32g/t gold from 15m including 3m @ 0.93g/t gold at end of hole from drillhole FNAC107.

Spanning 5,447m across 172 shallow holes spaced between 600m and 2.2km, Many Peaks now intends to follow up these discoveries with reverse circulation drilling and ground geophysical survey work.

Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says the results from this aircore drilling program exceeded the company’s expectations for a more shallowly weathered environment than originally anticipated.

“The broad zones of gold anomalism including intrusion material intersected on multiple lines of drilling indicate a strong mineralising system, as we vector towards the coincidence of favourable lithologic and structural settings to define additional bulk tonnage targets for systematic drilling,” Schwertfeger says.

Results from the aircore program have boosted the company’s reverse circulation drilling plans, now covering 7,000m of drilling.

The first 45 reverse circulation drillholes are currently awaiting analysis.

Many Peaks is also progressing a diamond core drilling program at the Ouarigue prospect with 26 drillholes and 6,800m of drilling also awaiting analysis.

As reported by Mining.com.au, the company recently raised $13.5 million to bolster exploration efforts at the Ferké Gold Project, pushing for a resource estimate as well as identifying bulk tonnage targets within the Ouarigue prospect.

Many Peaks is a gold and copper explorer focused on developing its portfolio of projects in West Africa.
