Many Peaks uncovered in M&A strategy

Many Peaks (ASX:MPK) continues embarking on its portfolio growth and diversification strategy with value-accretive transactions driving its long-term strategic approach.

Speaking to Mining.com.au, Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says two transactions Many Peaks entered into over the past year is expanding not only its landholdings in Africa, but growth opportunities as well.

In July 2025, a binding agreement was executed for expanding the Ferké Gold Project by way of an earn-in joint venture with privately held Ivorian entity Magic Mineral Structure (MMS), as reported by this news service.

The addition of the MMS permit application (Ferké South) represents a 125% increase to the mineralised corridor held at Ferké (additional 20km extent), and a 74% increase to the size of the Ferké project to 521km2.

Meanwhile in June 2024, Many Peaks entered into a binding agreement with Atlantic Resources to secure an exclusive right to acquire a 100% interest in two permits totalling 644Km2 in eastern Cote d’Ivoire.

Proactive approach to portfolio growth

Schwertfeger tells Mining.com.au the acquisition underscores Many Peaks’ proactive approach to portfolio growth and diversification focusing on a highly favourable jurisdiction for both discovery and development potential.

He explains that at Atlantic Resources’ Baga Project, Many Peaks is advancing the first systematic sampling of surface geochemistry in early stage exploration work. Geochemistry campaigns are focused on determining the scale and extent of gold anomalism to define further work programmes that may lead to drilling.

“Our team will assess the potential for this project and rank those various targets against the pipeline of opportunities available to the company for a decision by mid-2026 regarding exercising the option to acquire Atlantic Resources,” Schwertfeger says.

“The acquisition of Atlantic Resources and earn-in with MMS are focused on building a pipeline of projects to deliver future growth for the company. The MMS earn-in is an extension to our flagship Ferké project that offers substantial expansion and growth potential for an emerging district.

“The acquisition of Atlantic Resources is focused on building a pipeline of projects to deliver future growth for the company advancing grassroots exploration in a highly prospective region.”

Both agreements to expand landholdings in Côte d’Ivoire are structured around in-ground expenditure up front and provide Many Peals with an opportunity to deploy capital in adding value to the assets prior to any significant funding or purchase commitments.

Schwertfeger says this provides an opportunity for Many Peaks to evaluate multiple areas with minimal dilution for shareholders, and the optionality to move forward with value-accretive transactions for the long term.

At the Ferké South application with MMS, processing of applications for exploration permits in Côte d’Ivoire has been accelerating in recent years, a trend Many Peaks hopes to see continue.
