Many Peaks reveals gold at Odienné

Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) has confirmed gold mineralisation at the group’s Odienné Gold Project in northwest Côte d’Ivoire following a reverse circulation drilling program along the Sassandra shear corridor which extends 18km.

Assays include 21m @ 1.21 grams per tonne gold with 6m @ 3.17g/t gold from 14m depth at drillhole ODRC004, 2m @ 2.78g/t gold from 90m at drillhole ODRC005, and 9m @ 1.24g/t gold from 78m from drillhole ODRC023.

The 3,794m drill program has identified follow up targets of the open-ended mineralisation for upcoming drilling and induced polarisation surveys, which the company believes boosts the project’s potential to match the greater district.

Nearby deposits include Robex Resources’ (ASX:RXR) Kiniero Project with a turnover of 3.7 million ounces gold, and Resolute Mining’s (ASX:RSG) ABC Project with a turnover of 2.16 million ounces gold.

Meanwhile, the company has also completed a reconnaissance reverse circulation drilling program spanning 6,673m for 58 drillholes of the Ferké Gold Project in northern Côte d’Ivoire.

Still awaiting assays, the program intends to follow up an auger anomalism as well as aircore mineralisation that covers 9km.

Many Peaks has deployed a second diamond drill rig for delineation drilling at the Ouarigue prospect.

The total campaign at the Ferké Project has increased to more than 15,000m of planned drilling, from its previously announced 8,000m.

Many Peaks says drilling across both the Odienné and Ferké Gold Project is a part of the company’s greater strategy to advance its Côte d’Ivoire footprint.

As reported by Mining.com.au, the company is looking to expand its landholding across the country by 50% with its option agreement to acquire 100% of Atlantic Resources.

Atlantic Resources owns the Baga Gold Project in eastern Côte d’Ivoire, offering Many Peaks a total landholding of 1,919km2.

Many Peaks Minerals is an Australian explorer focused on advancing exploration across its portfolio of gold projects in West Africa.
