Many Peaks generates follow-up targets at Ferké

Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) has announced additional follow-up targets at the Ferké Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, after receiving further assay results from diamond drilling programs.

The drilling programs have been focused on extensions of gold mineralisation within a 1.5km extent of the more than 16km-long Leraba Gold Trend hosted at Ferké.

Many Peaks, which has a market capitalization of $73.44 million, says the latest assays have extended gold mineralisation over 190m down-dip and 100m south along strike across two, 50m spaced lines of drilling.

Some of the latest results include 230m @ 1.2 grams per tonne gold from 225m, including 15m @ 3.21g/t gold from 411m; and 79m @ 1.46g/t gold from 238m, including 7m @ 10.8g/t gold from 308m.

Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says the tenor and scale of these results confirm the presence of a robust and quickly expanding gold system within the mineralised granodiorite intrusion at Ferké.

“While we are still in the early stages of exploration, each test of open mineralisation so far has generated additional follow-up targets, justifying an acceleration in exploration,” Schwertfeger says.

“Our team is increasingly excited about the volume potential of our exploration model, and we look forward to updating the market on our progress.”

Phase three drilling has incrementally increased as understanding of the gold mineralisation at Ferké advances. The program comprises a further 8,000m of drilling in 30 drillholes.

To date, 18 of 30 holes have been drilled and are expected to be completed over the next six weeks. Assays are anticipated each two to three weeks over the next two to three months.

Many Peaks Minerals is focused on advancing gold and copper projects in West Africa.
