Many Peaks at Ferké in ongoing diamond drilling

Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) has strengthened emerging ‘high-grade’ zones of gold mineralisation at the Ferké Project in Côte d’Ivoire after returning assays from an ongoing diamond drilling campaign.

Targeting extensions to gold mineralisation at the Ouarigue prospect, the company has increased the size of its drilling campaign from an original 6,000m planned in April to more than 22,000m at the conclusion of work expected later this month.

Assays returned so far feature 55m @ 2.85 grams per tonne gold from 463m, including 6m @ 11.2g/t gold; 31.77m @ 3.37g/t gold from 485m, including 4.25m @ 16.1g/t gold; and 44m @ 2.13g/t gold from 476m, including 7m @ 5.38g/t gold.

Drilling continues to target the mineralised intrusion and extensions to the north and south of the prospect, with systematic drilling to target 50m drill spacing along strike and targeting between 60m-80m spaced drilling down dip.

Many Peaks expects to complete this campaign in October, before conducting another 6,000m of reverse circulation drilling in November to follow up discoveries in reconnaissance drill programs.

Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says the results returned continue to highlight the “strong resource growth potential” at the project after extending gold mineralisation along strike and at depth.

“The consistency of mineralisation and continuity of grade we are observing supports our confidence in the scale and bulk tonnage extraction potential of this system,” Schwertfeger says.

“Ongoing drilling is designed to further test the down dip and lateral extensions as we work towards defining a maiden resource.”
