Kuya Silver (TSX-V:KUYA) has returned silver, cobalt, and copper grades from preliminary sampling of historic stockpiles and tailings at its Silver Kings Project in northern Ontario, Canada.
A master composite prepared from three subsamples at the Kerr Lake mill stockpile returned 168 grams per tonne silver (Ag), 0.365% cobalt (Co), and 0.6% copper (Cu). Kuya reported a silver-equivalent grade of 276g/t.
However, the company notes that the reconnaissance results are not representative of an entire stockpile or tailings facility and should not be interpreted as a mineral resource or reserve.
The program tested seven areas across Kuya’s more than 13,000-hectare property, comprising five zones near Kerr Lake and two in the Silver Centre area. Fieldwork was completed in late 2025, followed by assaying and mineralogical studies during the first half of 2026.
At the Frontier mine tailings, a composite of five subsamples returned 75g/t Ag and 0.04% Co. The Canadaka tailings near the Kerr Lake mill returned 47g/t Ag from 12 subsamples, along with minor cobalt.
Four stockpiles containing coarser blast material were also tested. Silverfields returned the highest silver grade among these areas at 62g/t from eight subsamples, while Lawson recorded the highest cobalt grade at 0.184% from five subsamples.
Kuya says historic grade control in the Cobalt mining district relied largely on visual markers, potentially leaving ‘lower-grade’ silver and cobalt mineralisation at surface.
“Given the strong demand for silver and cobalt, we have taken a methodical and low-cost approach to evaluating this potentially large above-ground source of metals available at the Silver Kings project,” CEO David Stein says.
The company says it plans further sampling to improve its understanding of metal distribution and test additional stockpiles. Metallurgical work will assess processing options for the different material types.
Kuya also intends to survey selected stockpiles and assess density and grade data as part of potential resource estimation work.
The company operates the Bethania Silver Mine in Peru and is developing silver projects in Peru, Canada, and Saudi Arabia.
