Base metal and critical mineral explorer Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has appointed Karina Bader as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
A geologist by training, Bader’s career began more than 25 years ago where she worked for resources companies and consultants, primarily in gold exploration, including for Great Central Mines and privately held Plutonic.
More recently, Bader spent 15 years working in capital markets as a resource and energy analyst for a boutique fund manager specialising in emerging companies covering gold, base metals, specialty metals, uranium, and petroleum.
She joined Acorn Capital in 2009 and has held roles at Professionals Australia and Chifley Business School.
Chairman Anthony Reilly says Bader’s technical and capital markets experience will support driving the company’s next phase of growth as it progresses the Orient Project “to being the next significant silver and indium resource in Australia”.
As part of Bader’s appointment, she will be issued one million unlisted options, with 500,000 options exercisable at $0.3225 expiring on 22 January 2027, and the remaining 500,000 exercisable at $0.43 expiring the year following.
Iltani Resources is a base metal and critical mineral explorer focused on building a portfolio of advanced projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
Last week, the company received the final drilling assays from a 25-hole drilling program at the Orient East deposit, which returned wide intersections of up to 110.3 grams per tonne silver equivalent, as reported by Mining.com.au.
This work is expected to be completed early February 2025.
During 2025 Iltani plans to undertake a range of exploration works at Orient East including infill drilling to convert the exploration target to a JORC resource; reverse circulation drilling to target western extensions of the mineralisation; and diamond drilling targeting the “high-grade” mineralisation at depth.
