Impact Minerals (ASX:IPT) Managing Director Mike Jones describes the company as building an “industrial minerals powerhouse”, charging its way into the RIU Sydney Resources Round-Up next month.
The RIU Sydney Resources Round-Up, organised by Vertical Events, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Sydney on 5–7 May 2026, acting as a forum for corporate mining investors.
Jones will be presenting at the event on behalf of the company on Tuesday 5 May at 12.00pm AEST, outlining how the company is building what he calls an “industrial minerals powerhouse” across its three projects.
The assets include an 80% stake in the Lake Hope High Purity Alumina (HPA) Project in Western Australia, Impact’s investment in Alluminous, which the company says has created “groundbreaking HPA processing technology”, and its potash and hydrochloric acid discovery.
While meeting with existing investors, Jones says the company intends to share its story to “widen investor networks”.
“The Vertical Events team has access to the largest investor network in Australia,” Jones tells Mining.com.au ahead of this year’s program.
“The Sydney event brings many of the eastern states’ investors together, and they are always engaged. It is an event that also draws professional investors and brokers.
“A major benefit is networking, meeting new people across the spectrum, from investors to institutions and even to peers in the industry.”
The company is currently looking to optimise the process flowsheet for the Lake Hope HPA Project, while looking for fast-to-market options for precursor products.
Impact also notes that Alluminous intends to expand into the North American market with a Scoping Study on the way, following a potash and hydrochloric acid discovery.
At the end of last month, Impact received firm commitments to raise $2 million in an oversubscribed placement.
Shares will be issued at $0.05 each for up to 40 million, together with an option offer for two free-attaching options per every three shares held.
Funding will be used to advance Impact’s key projects without interruption during a period of market volatility.
Jones describes the current market as “booming” due to ongoing geopolitical tensions affecting supply chains.
“China’s control on many critical minerals has now been recognised, and this is leading to a resurgence of interest across a wide variety of lesser-known minerals, including HPA,” Jones tells this news service.
Impact Minerals is a minerals explorer with a primary focus on the HPA industry and additional exploration targets in Australia.
Mining.com.au is a media partner for the RIU Sydney Resources Round-Up conference and will be in attendance at this year’s program.
