IMARC: Helix bringing ‘drill-ready targets to the table’

Copper and gold explorer Helix Resources (ASX:HLX) has undertaken significant work to bring a suite of drill-ready targets to the table. That is the overarching message the company will be conveying at the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Sydney being held on 29-31 October.

Speaking to Mining.com.au ahead of IMARC, Managing Director Kylie Prendergast says the company is keen to share the Helix story, which is “great projects (prospective for copper and gold and base metals) in great locations (surrounded by operating mines), ready to drill”.

Prendergast says Helix will be keen to engage investors “who like copper, gold, and discovery led by experienced explorers” at IMARC, which organisers are touting this year as the ‘largest event to date’.

“We have undertaken significant work to bring a suite of drill ready targets to the table – we are an ASX-listed copper and gold explorer, have an experienced board and management team and offer shareholders great leverage to discovery in a proven jurisdiction,” she tells this news service.

Prendergast says with more than 9,000 delegates from over 120 countries expected to attend, the event offers a great opportunity to touch base with existing investors and meet new investors.

Helix last week reported it deployed a significant amount of shareholder funds into the ground to conduct drilling and advance high-priority targets in the Cobar-Nyngan region of New South Wales.

In its latest quarterly report ending 30 September 2024, Helix says its deployment of shareholders’ capital into direct exploration over the past three years has exceeded its peers and industry averages.

The $14.68 million market capitalisation company has spent, on average over the past three years, four times its reported corporate costs on exploration and evaluation, which equates to 75-80% of shareholder funds.

In Q4 2024, of 177 peer companies in the $6.5 million to $16 million market capitalisation bracket, on average only 1.1 times corporate costs on exploration and evaluation was spent.

Helix says this shows the company is an active explorer.

Register for IMARC here. Mining.com.au will again be attending the event.
