Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has reported assay results from the diamond drilling program, part of the Orient Mining Study generating samples for metallurgical testwork at the Orient Silver-Indium Project in Herberton, North Queensland
Hole ORD006, drilled at Orient West, intersected 35m @ 98.1g/t silver equivalent from 80m downhole, including 21m @ 106.5 g/t silver equivalent from 84m including 4.2m @ 278.5g/t silver equivalent from 86m including 0.4 @ 1126.2 g/t silver equivalent from 89.8.
Hole ORD007 intersected 27m @ 225.2g/t silver equivalent from 77m downhole including 15m @ 347.4g/t silver equivalent from 86m including 8m @ 586.7g/t silver equivalent from 88m including 1.5m @ 2414.5g/t silver equivalent from 90.2m downhole.
Managing Director Donald Garner says that the diamond drill holes “were designed to twin existing RC holes (ORD006 twinning ORR071 and ORD007 twinning ORR102). It is good to see that the intersections in both ORD006 and ORD007 closely match the intersections in the RC holes”.
“This gives us a strong level of confidence in the RC drilling, which is good, as we are planning to do a lot more RC drilling at Orient in 2026,” Garner says.
Iltani has already sent a 240kg bulk sample to Core Resources in Brisbane to start the metallurgical testwork, which is expected to be complete by mid-2026.
Iltani Resources is exploring for precious and base metals projects in North Queensland.
