Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has received silver results from eight drillholes from the Orient West deposit in North Queensland returning wide intersections of shallow mineralisation.
As part of the ongoing infill reverse circulation (RC) drilling program, Iltani is targeting the Orient West core area.
The deposit’s core area has multiple intersecting “higher grade” vein systems with associated low-grade stockwork mineralisation, which represents the potential to define an open pittable resource.
The latest results include drillhole ORR082 returning 1m @ 1,334.8 grams per tonne silver-equivalent; and ORR084 returning 1m @ 1,478.3g/t silver-equivalent.
Drillhole ORR084 also returned 16m @ 214.2g/t silver-equivalent from 127m, including 2m @ 913.3g/t silver-equivalent from 140m.
Managing Director Donald Garner the company continues to be excited by what it sees, with results validating the belief that “Orient is Australia’s largest and highest grade known silver-indium deposit”.
“The RC rig is now working its way through the Orient East JORC infill drilling program,” Garner says.
“We expect this to be completed within three weeks and deliver the Orient East JORC resource in September.”
Iltani has also received the final versatile time-domain electromagnetic survey data, which enables the company’s geophysical consultant to begin modelling the data and generating targets.
“We plan to start drilling geophysical targets at Orient once the resource infill drilling has been completed, with the objective being to deliver additional tonnes and grade by testing the lateral extensions of the Orient system,” Garner says.
Iltani Resources is a base metals and critical minerals explorer which holds a portfolio of advanced projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
Iltani will be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 23-25 July, at the Peppers Noosa Resort.
