Iltani on track for Orient East resource estimate

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) is on track to deliver a maiden resource in mid-October 2025, for the Orient East deposit within the broader Orient Silver-Indium Project in North Queensland, after receiving further assay results from a recent drilling program.

Holes ORR119 to ORR122 have returned multiple wide intersected of silver-indium mineralisation, including 4m @ 584.3 grams per tonne silver-equivalent AgEq from 219m, including 2m @ 845.9g/t AgEq from 221m.

The holes were completed as part of a nine-hole reverse circulation drilling program testing extensions to be included in the resource.

Managing Director Donald Garner says drilling aimed to extend the known mineralisation as well as deliver more tonnes and grade into the resource estimate.

“To come back and hit this intercept at depth opens up the vein system as an additional exciting target, with the potential to deliver significant tonnes and grade,” Garner says.

“The vein strikes east west and dips below the main zone currently being defined at Orient East and has a mapped strike length of 800m. This vein system remains a high-priority target and supports the potential for future UG mining operations at Orient.”

Assay results remain pending for holes ORR123 to ORR127 in the extension program. These results will also be fed into Orient East’s resource estimate.

The Herberton Project, covering 367km2, sits in the Herberton Mineral Field which is a highly prospective terrain with a long history of mining. Tin deposits were first discovered in 1880, with more than 2,400 historical mines and prospects known in the region.

Iltani considered Orient as Australia’s “largest silver-indium discovery”, with a defined resource estimate of 21.6 million tonnes @ 100.5g/t AgEq at Orient West and an exploration target of 12 to 18 million tonnes @ 110 to 130g/t AgEq at Orient East.

This news comes after silver’s spot price reached near historical highs, touching to US$44 per ounce mark this morning.

As Mining.com.au reported, over the past month, the soft and lustrous metal’s price has risen 14.08% and is up 43.43% compared to the same time last year, as reported by Trading Economics.

Iltani will be attending this year’s Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 12-14 November 2025, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is a media partner for this year’s event.
