Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has delivered its highest grade result to date at the Orient Silver-Indium Project in North Queensland, intersecting up to 2,141.9 grams per tonne silver-equivalent.
Drillhole ORD005 intersected 3.4m @ 1,171g/t silver-equivalent from 72.4m, including 2m @ 1,587.5g/t silver-equivalent from 72.4m, including 1m @ 2,141.9g/t silver-equivalent from 72.4m.
Late last month, Iltani resumed a reverse circulation drilling program at the Orient East deposit, comprising nine holes for 2,100m. The program aims to uncover extensions to known mineralisation to the southwest of the deposit, as Mining.com.au previously reported.
Managing Director Donald Garner says the company continues to be excited by what it sees, with results confirming the belief that “Orient is Australia’s largest and highest grade known silver-indium deposit”.
“Both drillholes also delivered multiple high-grade intersections of more than 1,000g/t silver-equivalent,” Garner says.
“The diamond core is orientated, giving us valuable structural information which we will use to better model the mineralisation. It also allows us to accurately measure the specific gravities of the mineralisation and the host rocks.”

Mining consultant Mining One is completing an initial resource estimate for Orient East, which is expected between late September and early October, subject to receiving assays from the current drilling program.
The Orient Project has a defined resource estimate of 21.6 million tonnes @ 100.5g/t silver-equivalent at Orient West, as well as an exploration target of 12 to 18 million tonnes @ 110-130g/t silver-equivalent at Orient East.
Iltani Resources is a base metals and critical minerals explorer focused on its portfolio of projects in Queensland and Tasmania.
