Iltani delivers maiden resource for Orient West

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has returned a maiden JORC-compliant resource estimate at its Orient West deposit within the Orient Silver-Indium Project in northern Queensland.

The deposit hosts an estimate of 21.6 million tonnes @ 100.5 grams per tonne silver equivalent with a contained 18.7 million ounces silver with a 60g/t silver equivalent cut-off grade.

The estimate places the majority of the deposit within the indicated category, covering a strike extent of 1,050m with a maximum depth of 270m.

Managing Director Donald Garner says the company will streamline a maiden resource estimate for the Orient East deposit, expected to return in September 2025.

“The global Orient Silver-Indium Project mineral resource (Orient West plus Orient East) will allow the market to better understand the likely parameters of the Orient Project and confirm Orient’s status as Australia’s largest known silver-indium project,” he says.

Iltani intends to recommence drilling activities at the Orient East deposit shortly, targeting previously intersected mineralisation for extensions before following up targets identified in electromagnetic surveys.

“This will demonstrate that the Orient system has much more potential than just the Orient West and Orient East deposits,” Garner says.

The Orient East target will cover Orient north, Steep East-West, Main Zone, and Orient South, with reverse circulation and diamond drilling across section spacing of 80m for 40-50m intersections at the Main Zone.

This program spans a 500m strike extent, as well as a 300m down dip extent.

Iltani has conducted a few step out holes towards Orient West, with the other zones to be targeted in upcoming drilling.
