GTI Energy (ASX:GTR) has completed fieldwork and testing to support a Scoping Study at the Lo Herma In-Situ Recovery Uranium Project in Wyoming’s Southern Powder River Basin in the US.
All of the four completed groundwater monitoring wells showed submergence of the Lo Herma mineralisation with the local groundwater aquifer.
The company notes laboratory testing of the drill core demonstrated hydraulic conductivity in the upper range typical of sandstones in the Wyoming intermontane basins and confirms sufficient permeability for ISR mining methods.
GTI Energy, which has a market capitalisation of $8.96 million, says the latest results are considered a key input into the Scoping Study, which is expected to be delivered during Q2 2025.
Executive Director Bruce Lane says this is a key milestone for the project’s development and keeps the company on track to complete the Scoping Study.
“The data collected continues to reaffirm that resources at Lo Herma will be recoverable by in-situ recovery mining, with geologic and hydrogeologic characteristics similar to operating ISR uranium mines in Wyoming’s Southern Powder River Basin,” Lane says.
“GTI is aggressively pursuing completion of a Scoping Study economic analysis of the project.”
GTI Energy is focused on defining and developing economic ISR uranium resources.
