GTI Energy (ASX:GTR) has completed all fieldwork studies including metallurgy and hydrogeology, to support the interim Scoping Study for the Lo Herma In-Situ Recovery Uranium Project in the US.
As a result of completing all of the key input studies, the Scoping Study remains on track to be delivered during this quarter.
Study manager BRS Engineering is currently modelling project cashflow scenarios and integrating the wellfield construction plan along with the processing and engineering study results into a Scoping Study report format.
GTI notes that alternatives are being considered including a standalone central processing plant and a satellite production facility.
Executive Director Bruce Lane says this is an important milestone for Lo Herma’s project development.
“The well field planning and process engineering studies are completed and costed which puts us in a good position to deliver the study and establish baseline economics for the project,” Lane says.
Concurrently, an amendment to GTI’s current drilling notification permit is being prepared to focus on further exploration of the defined exploration targets. The company aims to expand the mineral resources on the project.
The Lo Herma Project, located in Wyoming’s Southern Powder River Basin, has a resource of 6.21 million tonnes @ 630 parts per million uranium-equivalent for 8.57 million pounds of contained metal.
GTI is a uranium-focused explorer and developer that also holds ‘high-potential’, drill permitted projects in Wyoming’s Great Divide Basin and Green Mountain area. The company also holds brownfield uranium-vanadium assets in Utah.
