Great Divide Mining (ASX:GDM) aims to define new drilling targets at depth and along strike via a geophysical survey at the Banshee prospect within the Coonambula Project in Queensland.
This news comes after the $9.84 million market capitalisation company confirmed antimony and gold assay results up to 23.9% and gold up to 9.93 grams per tonne, in surface geochemical samples at Banshee.
Great Divide says these new results from the old trenches will help the company link the surface mineralisation with the antimony-gold mineralisation intersected in previous drillholes, for the next stage of 3D modelling work.
Once 3D modelling work and a geophysical survey is completed, reverse circulation drilling will begin to test induced polarisation targets and extensions to the known mineralisation.
CEO Justin Haines says these results have shown that mineralisation extends along strike, well away from the old workings.
“The anomalous antimony-gold system at Banshee is open to the east and west, plus at depth, so Great Divide Mining will continue to explore this exciting prospect to unlock its full potential,” Haines says.
The Coonambula Project is host to several historical antimony-gold mine workings in southeast Queensland.
Haines says the old Banshee Mine is considered among the “biggest historical antimony-gold” mines in the region of Queensland.
“With increasing demand for this critical mineral, the Coonambula Project presents the potential for Great Divide Mining to quickly advance an antimony-gold mine towards mining in the near-term,” Haines says.
Great Divide Mining is a gold, antimony, and critical metals explorer in Queensland. The company is focused on four projects across 12 tenements within areas of historical mining and past exploration with nearby infrastructure.
