Great Divide Mining (ASX:GDM) reports record high gold, silver and antimony grades from drilling at the historic Banshee mine within its Coonambula project in Central Queensland.
The company’s farm-in joint venture partner Dart Mining (ASX:DTM) has delivered peak assays of 20.20g/t gold, 234g/t silver, and 44.6% antimony from diamond drilling at the prospect.
CEO Justin Haines says the results underscore the emerging scale of the Banshee system.
“These record high gold, silver and antimony grades at Banshee continue to confirm what we have long believed – Coonambula has the geological architecture to host a commercially significant antimony-gold system,” Haines says.
Key intercepts include 9m at 2.67g/t gold, 16.8g/t silver, and 5.8% antimony from 32.5m in hole CBADD010, including 1.2m at 5.5g/t gold, 85.1g/t silver and 18.8% antimony from 36.7m.
Dart Mining has completed 2,594m of diamond drilling at Banshee to date as part of its 4,000m program to earn a 51% interest in the project.
The mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth, supporting potential resource growth. Dart Mining aims to deliver a maiden mineral resource estimate upon completing the drilling program.
Under the joint venture agreement, Dart Mining has acquired an initial 15% project interest after paying $250,000 to Great Divide Mining. The company must complete the 4,000m drilling program and deliver two geological or resource reports to reach 51% ownership.
The Coonambula project is located 70km southeast of Evolution Mining’s Cracow gold mine and 25km southwest of Eidsvold. Great Divide Mining currently holds 100% ownership through its subsidiaries.
