Dart Mining confirms continuous mineralisation over Banshee strike

Dart Mining (ASX:DTM) has received the final outstanding assays from its recently completed 4,100m drilling program at the Banshee prospect, with results indicating gold mineralisation along the entire 730m strike length drilled to date.

The prospect is located within the Coonambula Antimony-Gold Project near Eidsvold in Central Queensland, which is operated under a farm-in joint venture with Great Divide Mining (ASX:GDM). The final batch of results covers diamond drill holes CBADD023 through CBADD039.

Intercepts from the remaining holes include 12m @ 1.03 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 1.01g/t silver (Ag) from 128m in hole CBADD037, which features a ‘higher-grade’ zone of 3.4m @ 1.78g/t Au and 2.20g/t Ag from 128m. Hole CBADD032 also returned 3m @ 1.96g/t Au from 33m, including a narrower zone of 0.7m @ 6.64g/t Au from 34.7m.

Dart Mining Chairman James Chirnside says the final assays provide additional information about the mineralised system at Banshee.

“Having now tested a full 730m of strike, we’re seeing gold mineralisation present from end to end, including in CBADD037, drilled well to the west and at depth, which returned our best result from this batch at 12m of consistent gold,” Chirnside says.

According to Dart Mining, the latest results indicate that the gold-antimonysilver system remains open along the full drilled strike. The company says the exploration data suggests ‘higher-grade’ silver and antimony mineralisation is concentrated within discrete shoots closer to the historical workings, while the gold distribution remains more uniform across the strike length.

With the first phase of the farm-in program completed and assayed, Dart Mining has secured a 45% equity stake in Coonambula. The company can earn an additional 6% interest to reach a 51% equity share upon the completion of a maiden mineral resource estimate.

The joint venture partners are currently advancing metallurgical sighter studies using composite drill core samples to analyse ore types and recoveries. The work will run alongside 3D geological modelling to support resource estimation.
