Errawarra Resources (ASX:ERW) has uncovered a new lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite discovery within its Andover West Project in Western Australia.
Initial reconnaissance sampling returned a peak assay value of 0.9% lithium oxide (Li2O), and a coincident lithium soil anomaly returned a peak assay value of 197 parts per million (ppm) Li2O. This extends the pegmatite trend 800m to the east within soil covered terrain.
Based on interpretation of the latest exploration results, the $16.78 million market capitalisation company will continue with its rock chip and soil sampling campaign to test the new expanded prospective lithium pegmatite zone.
Other exploration activities will include satellite imagery, drone photography, and the use of portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) analysers.
A regional reconnaissance soil sampling program also uncovered new lithium target areas within the soil covered terrain along the southern margin of the Andover mafic intrusion.
The company notes this includes ‘major’ lithium linear anomalous zones within 4.4km strike and discrete isolated 400m strike lithium anomaly with a peak assay value of 116ppm Li2O in the southern area.
Errawarra Resources Executive Chairman Thomas Reddicliffe says the company will continue to focus prospecting and sampling in this area along the southern margin of the Andover mafic intrusion.
“Our new lithium pegmatite discovery is confirmation that this lithium mineralised corridor extends into the eastern portion of our tenement, and we consider this to be further evidence of a discrete southern Andover lithium pegmatite zone.”
