Errawarra Resources uncovers potential REE targets at Errabiddy Project, WA

ASX-listed company Errawarra Resources (ASX:ERW) reports it has identified potential rare earth element (REE) exploration target areas following an independent review undertaken at its Errabiddy Project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne Region.

The independent review was conducted due to the discovery of REEs within the vicinity of the Errabiddy Project tenements by Desert Metals (ASX:DM1) and Krakatoa Resources (ASX:KTA) and has confirmed the potential for REE discoveries within the project across multiple priority targets.

These target areas are based on the interpretation of spectral signatures and other factors following the review of remote sensing hyper-spectral datasets.

a review of the GSWA soil sampling dataset has revealed several anomalous Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) samples within the project tenements

The company also notes that a review of the GSWA soil sampling dataset has revealed several anomalous Total Rare Earth Oxide (TREO) samples within the project tenements.

It is reported that the ‘significance’ of these soil sample results is not known at this stage, however a follow-up analysis is expected to occur in order to determine the source of the anomalous REE results.

In addition, as the Errabiddy tenement package is prospective for nickel (Ni), gold (Au) and REE, the company reports it will not only be progressing on ground exploration initiatives, but will also consider a joint venture (JV) or other strategic partnerships to enhance the value to its shareholders.

Errawarra Resources’ Errabiddy tenement is located about 190km northwest of the township of Meekatharra and 360km east of the township of Carnarvon within the shires of Upper Gascoyne and Murchison. The project covers a total land area of 1,066km-square across 8 granted tenements, with some of the tenements being considered highly prospective for intrusion-related Ni-Cu-Co-PGE mineralisation.

This area is highly competitive for nickel and gold exploration, however recently an emerging focus on REE exploration has begun to occur due to the return of ‘significant’ exploration results reported by Desert Metals and Krakatoa Resources.

With multiple priority drill targets now identified within the project, Errawarra Resources announces it is still focused on the Andover West Project and is set to commence on-ground activities soon.
