Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) has restored all of the parts of the pit access at the Okvau Gold Mine in Cambodia, following a minor wall slip that occurred on 16 September 2024.
The company announced a small pit wall wedge failure occurred in the southwest of the Okvau open cut pit. As a result, the access ramp was affected at a relatively shallow depth.
The access to the pit was expected to be impacted for 21 days. However, Emerald restored the access well ahead of schedule, with the cutback of the affected area completed. Normal operations have now resumed at Okvau.
The Okvau Gold Project has been in production since June 2021 and production guidance remains in line with the Definitive Feasibility Study of 100-110,000 ounces on an annual basis.
