Emerald Resources and MACA Mining continue partnership

Emerald Resources (ASX:EMR) has signed an agreement with privately held contractor MACA Mining to continue partnering on all current and future mine developments.

The two companies have worked alongside each other for more than 20 years, covering a range of mining services including load and haul, drill and blast, underground mining, crusher feed tailings dam construction, and establishment works.

Under the agreement, MACA has a right of refusal for all new Emerald mine developments for a five year period. MACA will also comply with Emerald’s working procedures, operating, and safety management systems.

Emerald Resources, which has a market capitalisation of $2.36 billion, says the schedule of rates are to be negotiated on an open book basis.

Managing Director Morgan Hart says the company is embarking on two new developments in Australia and Cambodia over the next two years.

“This continues the long-standing relationship we have had spanning over 20 years which has seen the successful delivery of numerous projects over many years, including the Okvau Gold Mine, which continues to achieve strong operational performance,” Hart says.

“We look forward to capitalising on the well-established synergies between the Emerald and MACA teams to deliver these projects on time and on budget.”

Emerald Resources is a mining, development, and exploration company that operates the Okvau deposit in the Mondulkiri province of eastern Cambodia.
