Element79 to cash up with new VP

Element79 Gold (CSE:ELEM) is implementing new capital market initiatives with the appointment of Michael Smith as the company’s Vice President of Corporate Development.

Smith has more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles across business development, public company operations, and investor relations with expertise in capital raisings, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

He is the founder of a privately held advisory firm that focuses on the development of startups and growth-stage businesses, Lions Bridge Capital.

Smith has held both executive and board-level roles within the resources sector, including current CEO of Hercules Resources (CSE:HERC).

The company intends to utilise Smith’s skills as it bolsters its Nevada footprint, including exploration and development of its Gold Mountain and Elephant projects.

CEO James Tworek says Smith is a critical asset to the team as the company transitions into its next phase of strategic execution.

“His capital markets experience and ability to connect with investors will be instrumental in unlocking the value of our core projects in Nevada, as well as while the picture for advancing our Lucero project becomes more clear,” Tworek says.

Currently at a “pivotal” point in its growth trajectory, Smith says the company is ready to capture the market’s attention with its assets.

“I’m excited to bring my network and capital markets experience to help shape the next chapter of the company’s journey,” Smith says.

Element79 Gold is a gold and silver miner with assets spanning Peru and Nevada, which the company is focused on advancing with its ongoing acquisition of the Gold Mountain Project.
