DevEx Resources (ASX: DEV) has reported further ‘significant, high-grade’ gold assays from an ongoing drilling campaign at the Nangus Road prospect within its 100%-owned Junee Copper-Gold Project in New South Wales.
The results, generated from aircore and diamond drilling, have returned near-surface gold mineralisation with shallow intercepts including:
- Aircore hole 22JNAC041: 4m @ 2.5g/t Au from 28m, incl.
- 1m @ 6.3g/t Au at BOH
- Aircore Hole 22JNAC081: 8m @ 1.14g/t Au from 40m, incl.
- 2m @ 2.06g/t Au
- Diamond hole 22JNDD002: 1m @ 27.2g/t Au from 142m
Speaking on the results, DevEx Resources Managing Director Brendan Bradley said: “While it’s still early days at Junee, we are excited to see significant shallow gold intercepts starting to show a clear north-south gold-copper trend at Nangus Road.

These results, together with the presence of a large hydrothermal system, demonstrate excellent potential to host significant mineralisation.

The company also notes that the results demonstrate a coherent north-south gold trend measuring over 1km, that remains open along strike and at depth.
In addition, RC and diamond drilling conducted to date has only explored two east-west traverses 400m apart. Despite this, the work has identified a zone of gold mineralisation that remains open-ended and untested by drilling to the north, south and at depth.

The project hosts monzonitic intrusions with similar chemistry to mineralised intrusions at the major Cadia-Ridgeway and Northparkes mining operations.
DevEx notes that mineralisation discovered at the project is located within a sequence of broadly altered and sheared andesite volcanic rocks, and possesses extensive phyllic to advanced argillic alteration.
With drilling at the project ongoing, the company reports that it will move forward with the next stage of RC and diamond work once all assays are finalised and returned.
