Industry veterans return to drive growth: Talent Tuesday

This week’s Talent Tuesday sees Ross McElroy join F3 Uranium (TSX-V:FUU) as strategic advisor, bringing decades of uranium industry and corporate leadership experience to the role.

McElroy was co-founder of both F3 and Fission Uranium alongside Dev Randhawa, and served as CEO of Fission Uranium through its C$1.14 billion ($1.15 billion) acquisition by Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN) in December 2024.

Speaking on the appointment, F3 Chairman, CEO, and Director Dev Randhawa highlights McElroy’s experience in delivering Fission Uranium to acquisition.

“Ross and I have been partners in uranium exploration for decades and I’ve seen firsthand the tremendous value his geological expertise and industry leadership bring to a company,” Randhawa says.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Ross back to F3, where his experience will be invaluable as we advance PLN and pursue our next major discoveries.”

F3 Uranium is focusing on the JR zone and new Tetra zone discovery on its Patterson Lake North (PLN) Project in the Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Talisman Mining (ASX:TLM) has made a number of board changes as it positions for further exploration and growth, with CEO Todd Ross appointed to the board as managing director.

Ross has experience leading junior Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) exploration companies, as well as a track record in corporate finance, business development, and resource banking.

He most recently served as the managing director of DevEx Resources (ASX:DEV) and was previously managing director of Nordic Nickel, now Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL).

Talisman has also appointed Mark Cossom as non-executive director, effective immediately.

Cossom has extensive experience in mineral exploration, mining operations, and the management and governance of ASX-listed resources companies. He was also a key part of the team that transformed Doray Minerals from a junior gold explorer to an ASX-300 gold miner. Doray was acquired by Silver Lake Resources (ASX:SLR) in 2019.
