DevEx Resources (ASX:DEV) has begun an approximately 15,000m drilling campaign at its Nabarlek Uranium Project in the Northern Territory.
The 66-hole program will combine diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling across three priority targets within the Alligator Rivers Uranium Province.
DevEx says the campaign is the first phase of a multi-year exploration strategy aimed at establishing a maiden mineral resource estimate.
Initial drilling will target Big Radon, KP, and Sandfire, where the company has identified structural complexity along uranium-bearing fault corridors using gravity, magnetic, and radiometric data.
Big Radon comprises an undrilled radon anomaly extending for 3km along the Nabarlek Fault Corridor. DevEx says ground gravity data identified cross-faulting and structural dislocation coinciding with the strongest radon emissions recorded during its 2024 airborne radiometric survey.
The KP target covers a 2km-long radon anomaly between the historical Nabarlek Mine and U40 prospect. Ground gravity work identified two northwest-trending ‘Nabarlek-type’ faults intersected by cross-cutting structures beneath the anomaly.
Sandfire lies along strike from Deep Yellow’s (ASX:DYL) Angularli deposit, which hosts 32.9 million pounds of uranium oxide (U₃O₈) at 1.09% U₃O₈.
DevEx says recent work traced the Angularli Fault Zone onto its tenement, where it coincides with a 1.6km pathfinder anomaly and a structural and magnetic target at the Angularli-Sandfire fault junction.
Managing Director Marnie Finlayson says the campaign marks the first time DevEx will test the project as a district-scale pipeline of targets.
“For the first time we are testing our ground as a single, district-scale pipeline of targets, pulling together gravity, magnetic, and radiometric datasets across our expanded footprint to give us the best chance of success,” Finlayson says.
DevEx says it is also advancing targets near the historical Caramal deposit, including Orion East, where rock-chip sampling returned up to 0.31% U₃O₈ from fault breccia.
The company has submitted drilling permit applications for Orion East, with drilling proposed during the current field season.
