Dark Star shines with new board appointment

Dark Star Minerals (CSE:BATT) has appointed Cole Drezdoff as a director following David Shisel’s departure from the board.

Shisel resigned as a director effective 27 August but remains involved with the company in a new advisory board role. Drezdoff has replaced him as a director.

Drezdoff has experience in commercial marketing, business development, digital strategy, market research, and investor engagement.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing management from Toronto Metropolitan University’s Ted Rogers School of Management. As a management consultant with Lane-Link, Drezdoff advised clients on branding, market positioning, and growth strategies.

His work included representing a client at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference and supporting its entry into the Middle Eastern market.

Drezdoff also helped facilitate strategic engagement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Saudi Aramco (TADAWUL:2222), two of the region’s largest energy companies.

Alongside the board change, Dark Star says it has granted a total of 300,000 stock options to a director and an advisory board member.

The options are exercisable at C$0.15 ($0.15) each, expire two years from the grant date, and vest immediately. They are subject to a four-month exchange hold period.

The company has also granted 1.2 million restricted share units to a director and officer. The units vest immediately, with all incentive grants issued under Dark Star’s omnibus equity incentive plan.

The options and restricted share units remain subject to acceptance by the Canadian Securities Exchange.

As recently reported by Mining.com.au, Dark Star has begun a C$300,000 ($301,800) phased exploration program at its Ghost Lake Project to refine priority uranium targets ahead of potential drilling.

Dark Star Minerals is a uranium and critical minerals explorer that holds an option to acquire the 28,575-hectare Ghost Lake Project in Newfoundland and Labrador and owns the 515-hectare Bleasdell Project in Saskatchewan, Canada.
