Danakali grows exploration pipeline with new licence applications

Danakali (NSX:DNK) has applied for exploration licences covering 1,433km2 across eight projects, growing its exploration portfolio across the Murchison and Gascoyne regions in Western Australia.

The company applied for 23 tenement applications, having been granted 10 to date across 634km2, and is looking to receive more in the coming months.

The tenements have been acquired through pegging of prospective geology across some of the key mineralised areas of Western Australia and are prospective for gold, copper, base metals, and a range of critical minerals.

Executive Chairman Seamus Cornelius says that the team has identified these targets in “prospective yet underexplored zones” across the region, with acquisitions tied to the company’s exploration strategy.

“This strategy has now developed into a significant portfolio of projects prospective for a wide range of metals and mineralisation styles, particularly gold and copper,” Cornelius says.

“We are rapidly developing exploration programs to carefully assess these projects as further tenements convert to granted licences.

“A reconnaissance field survey of the projects is currently underway, and we look forward to expanding exploration of these exciting projects in the current field season.”

Danakali has five projects in the Murchison, covering a range of greenstone lithologies and settings. The Gascoyne region, on the other hand, has recently emerged as a highly prospective zone across a range of mineralisation styles.

The Danakali team is mobilising now to the Gascoyne region for detailed geological inspection and soil sampling for priority targets at the Orson, Chelios, and Turkish projects.

Once complete, the team will move to the Murchison region to focus on the Jonas project.

Exploration across all remaining projects is planned through mid-2026 as the company receives additional exploration licences.

Danakali is a precious metals and critical minerals exploration and development company focused on assets in Australia and the Arabian-Nubian Shield.
