Brighstar Resources (ASX:BTR) says the latest aircore drilling results highlight the “extreme exploration prospectivity” that exists across its Sandstone project.
General Manager of Geology Jonathan Gough says the first program’s results at Sandstone are very “encouraging” and both Indomitable North and Bollinger will now be prioritised for follow-up drilling in 2026.
“The early stage targeting and explorations activities remain a priority for our exploration team and continue in parallel with infill and resource definition drilling and Feasibility Study workstreams,” Gough says.
Brightstar will continue drilling and seeking to identify the underlying gold system’s anomalies. The program is targeting high-grade mineralisation and furthering bedrock extensions.
Assay results from the Indomitable North prospect include 24m @ 3.97 grams per tonne gold from 48m, including 8m @ 10.4g/t from 60m; 100m @ 0.51g/t gold from 12m; and 20m @ 1.2g/t from 48m.
Aircore drilling results at Bollinger include 12m @ 2.08g/t gold from 124m, including 4m @ 5.6g/t gold from 124m; 32m @ 0.93g/t gold from 16m; 12m @ 1.32g/t gold from 36m; 8m @ 1.58g/t from 44m.
As reported by Mining.com.au, Brightstar proposed a merger with Aurumin, which was approved by shareholders and completed in November 2025.
The company will acquire Aurumin for a scrip consideration, where shareholders will receive one Brightstar share for every 4.6 Aurumin shares held.
Brightstar is focused on advancing as a gold producer, providing a platform for growth at its current projects and proposed expansions.
