Brightstar drilling delivers gold intercepts at Sandstone

Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) has returned ‘significant’ gold intercepts from diamond and reverse circulation drilling at its 2.4 million ounce Sandstone Hub in Western Australia.

The company has received assays from diamond drilling at the Indomitable Camp and remaining reverse circulation holes from the Vanguard infill program, with highlights including 4.2m at 26.7 grams per tonne gold from 113.9m.

Managing Director Alex Rovira says the drilling results will feed into an upcoming mineral resource estimate upgrade and Prefeasibility Study.

“It is pleasing to see continued strongly positive drilling results returned from Sandstone exploration completed in late 2025,” Rovira says.

“Importantly, the diamond drilling across all the deposits is providing all the necessary technical information to enable robust Mineral Resource estimation upgrades and ensuring appropriate parameters for the pre-feasibility study underway.”

The 1,400m diamond drilling program at the Indomitable Camp aimed to infill existing drilling while providing structural, geotechnical, and metallurgical data.

At the Musketeer deposit, three diamond holes for approximately 440m intersected altered banded iron formation units with felsic porphyry intrusions.

Intercepts include 4.2m at 26.7g/t gold from 113.9m, including 0.75m at 65.4g/t gold from 116m; 5.9m at 5.41g/t gold from 48m, including 1.3m at 19.7g/t gold from 48m; and 2m at 5.34g/t gold from 58m.

At the Indomitable deposit, two diamond holes for approximately 370m intersected zones of strong sericite alteration with quartz veining beneath weathered clay extending over 100m downhole.

Results include 4.5m at 3.47g/t gold from 33m, 6.2m at 4.05g/t gold from 44m, and 6.5m at 11.7g/t gold from 69.5m.

The company has also received results from 14 remaining reverse circulation holes at Vanguard, with intercepts including 15m at 3.23g/t gold from 36m, including 2m at 11.2g/t gold from 44m, and 3m at 4.01g/t gold from 102m.

Assays remain pending for 31 diamond holes completed across multiple deposits including Vanguard, Bull Oak, Lord Henry, Lord Nelson, and Two Mile Hill-Shillington.

The company is targeting a mineral resource estimate upgrade for June quarter 2026. Two reverse circulation and two diamond rigs are currently drilling at Sandstone to complete infill drilling for Prefeasibility Study work streams and commence extensional drilling.

Brightstar says it is fully funded to drill out the Sandstone Gold Project, undertake feasibility studies, and permitting activities to advance toward a final investment decision.
