Amaroq (AIM:AMRQ) has achieved above the mid-point of the annual 6,000 to 7,000 ounce production range from the Nalunaq Gold Mine in Greenland.
In 2025, the company produced 6,600 ounces of gold from Nalunaq – with mining and processing rates expected to continue to be consistent into the new year.
Amaroq expects to release the production guidance and budget for 2026 in late February.
CEO Eldur Olafsson says that since completing the shutdown in Q4 2025 and restart of operations, the processing unit and mining operations have performed well in line with expectations for phase one and with a target to increase the recovery factor up to 90%, once phase two is complete in Q2 2026.
“We are very proud to have had the final impact benefit agreement for our Nalunaq Mine approved; it is a significant milestone, not only for Amaroq but also demonstrates how a successful mining industry in Greenland is being developed,” Olafsson says.
The company achieved its first gold pour at Nalunaq in November 2024, and intends to ramp up production with the aim of reaching nameplate capacity of between 260-300 tonnes per day.
Amaroq is a miner and explorer operating in South Greenland. The company’s portfolio spans the Sava Copper Belt, the Nanortalik Gold Belt, and the Gardar Province Mineral Belt.
